We are looking for a dedicated and motivated Trim and Assembly Team Leader to join our Composites team here at Williams Racing. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting shift personnel and supervisors in the daily operations of the department. Your technical expertise and critical thinking skills will be vital in achieving our production and quality targets.

As The Trim and Assembly Team Leader, your key responsibilities will be:



  • Delegate and distribute tasks to ensure personnel focus on the right priorities to meet delivery targets.




  • Clearly communicate productivity expectations to maximize resource capability.




  • Ensure all necessary information, BOM, and tools are available before the start of manufacturing.




  • Ensure manufacturing methodologies align with design intent and are fully adhered to.




  • Complete and record all manufacturing process and QA documentation at the end of manufacture.




  • Maintain schedules and records for all key plant maintenance.




  • Ensure all shift personnel are proficient in using production-supporting hardware and software packages.




  • Mentor and develop a high-performing composite team, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.



We are looking for a Trim and Assembly Team Leader with the following skills and experience:



  • Proven experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment, with a minimum of 5 years in a Trimmer/Fitter role.




  • In-depth knowledge of composites, their properties, and the impact of different finishing techniques on component performance.




  • Proficiency in using various hand and power tools for composite trimming, including pneumatic and electric grinders, routers, and sanders.




  • Previous experience in leading and driving continuous improvement initiatives.




  • Strong ability to lead and motivate a team.




  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. 




  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
