A day in the life of a Days Based Maintenance Engineer: As a Maintenance Engineer, you will support and participate in the implementation and execution of the factory asset maintenance programme aimed to eliminate unplanned stops and optimise maintenance cost, resulting in increased asset intensity. This role is responsible for a defined set of production assets in terms of the engineering strategy to support in driving your area to world-class performance levels in safety, quality, cost, and service. Other responsibilities will include: Maintaining the basic condition of the machines through reactive, preventative, and predictive maintenance activities. Supporting breakdowns and participating in line improvements across the factory, becoming the Subject Matter Expert for your selected area. Driving a safe culture and eliminating safety risks. Ensuring all work is completed to a good engineering standard following GMP and safe systems of work at all times. Being educated to apprenticeship level NVQ 3 in Engineering, with Electrical bias being advantageous. Demonstrating mechanical comprehension and food safety/food handling awareness, with the ability to understand and adhere to strict hygiene rules. Having experience in Planned Preventative Asset Maintenance. Experience in Root Cause Analysis tools/problem-solving methodology. Understanding Lean manufacturing tools, including TPM. Demonstrating that you are a real team player. Job Type: Full-time Pay: £42,000.00-£43,000.00 per year
