Job Description

Temporary Summer Industrial Placement - Simulation Engineer (2 month FTC) (DE323) The Original British Motorcycling Company. At Triumph, we are driven to make the best motorcycles in the world. Building iconic motorcycles that celebrate our past whilst embracing the future - through bold design, original styling, purposeful engineering, and a genuine passion for the ride. A unique Summer Placement opportunity has arisen at Triumph Motorcycles for a current UK University student looking for a Summer Placement. This placement will run for 8 weeks from July 2025 to September 2025. This placement is only available for UK university students due to graduate in Summer 2026. The placement will be based within the Design Department where your role will be similar to that of a full-time Simulation Engineer. The work will be real, interesting, and relevant to your studies, helping to develop and test a broad range of skills drawn from the knowledge you have gained at university. This simulation team role is focused on FEA but may also include other simulations such as CFD and 1D analysis. Other tasks may include 3D CAD design work, as well as liaising with design teams and internal departments. Students aren't taken on as extra resources; they are needed to fulfill the role of an engineer and contribute to the design and development of a production motorcycle. The design department is made up of small, very focused teams, which will give you the opportunity to quickly take on a position of high responsibility. Preferred students should be studying a degree that has been accredited with the IMechE and meets the academic requirements of a Chartered Engineer (CEng). This position is only open to engineering students graduating in 2026. Please note that this role is only open to university students who are able to conduct a summer work placement in 2025. The successful candidate must be graduating in Summer 2026 and be available to complete this placement from July 2025 to September 2025 for an 8-week period. A variety of competitive benefits, including an enhanced holiday scheme, favorable pension, and life assurance scheme. Motorcycle, clothing, and accessories are available to purchase at a heavily discounted rate. An iconic place to work; join us for the ride! Disclaimer:

Due to the high volume of applications we receive, we reserve the right to close a vacancy earlier than the advertised date. This is to ensure our teams can manage application levels while maintaining a positive candidate experience. Once a vacancy has closed, we are unable to consider further applications, so please submit your application as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
