Operate and maintain laser cutting machines to produce precise metal components, ensuring quality and timely delivery. Responsibilities:
Set up, operate, and maintain laser cutting machine to create parts using different metals and thicknesses. Translate instructions into computer commands so the machines can perform the correct functions. Conduct quality control checks to ensure products meet production specifications. Report any machine malfunctions or issues promptly. Follow safety regulations and maintain a clean and safe work area. Perform routine machine maintenance. Collaborate with designers and engineers about material selection and design to ensure efficient production. Maintain a high level of housekeeping. Essential:
Technical knowledge of laser cutting operations and maintenance. Problem-solving, attention to detail, and ability to identify and rectify potential issues with the machine or the cutting process. Accuracy and attention to detail to ensure precision in cutting and minimize wastage of materials. Basic computer skills for operating computer-controlled machines and performing tasks like programming and adjusting machine settings. Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations to ensure a safe working environment. Good communication skills for effective interaction with team members, supervisors, and other departments. Experience in using measurement tools like callipers for accurate measurements of products. Desirable:
