Job summary Applications are welcomed for a 6 month fixed term post for a Trust Grade Doctor in ENT (40 hours) at Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust to join our exciting and developing ENT department. The post will offer an excellent opportunity to develop skills and experience within ENT. Main duties of the job As a Trust grade for ENT, you will be expected to form part of our junior team, working on a rota with a mixture of clinic and theatre standard days, with day and night on-call requirements. Attending ward rounds, requesting investigations/treatment for patients and dictating discharge summaries are all involved within this role and we are looking for an enthusiastic, positive and hard working individual to join our team. Essential qualifications: Full General Medical Council registration Basic Life Support Training Completion of Foundation Year 2 Training NHS experience for a minimum of 6 months Essential clinical skills and experience: Good practical skills Excellent communication skills Essential Management & Administrative skills: Willing and able to work with colleagues in other specialities, professions and roles to ensure the delivery of a high quality, safe and reliable service. Familiar with clinical governance. Willingness to accept responsibility and provide leadership. Awareness of current relevant developments within the wider NHS. Determination to have a key role in establishing and developing the service. Clinical Governance Management & IT: Knowledge of audit methodology Computer Literacy Excellent written & oral communication skills Evidence of engagement in Quality Improvement (desirable) Personal Qualities: A flexible collaborative approach Good team worker Upholding the trust values
