£27,711 - £30,559 per annum + £1,000 per annum call out allowance. Hours:
37 hours each week, all year-round (not including lunch/breaks). Usual working hours: Monday to Friday 7.30am until 4.00pm, with flexibility required for occasional weekend work. PRIME OBJECTIVE OF THE POST: The role is based primarily at Nidderdale High School, Low Wath Rd, Pateley Bridge, HG3 5HL but may involve occasional work at any of our Trust schools. To support the MLT Estates Manager in managing the provision of safe working and learning environments for all students, staff and visitors in MLT academies. RESPONSIBLE TO THE MLT ESTATES MANAGER THE POST HOLDER WILL: Support the overall ethos of the Trust in all areas of contact and responsibility. Be professional, friendly, fair and firm with students. Be friendly, helpful and welcoming to parents and visitors. Work closely to coordinate work across Trust academies. Undertake any other duties within the nature of the post. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES: Ensure academy buildings and grounds are maintained to a high standard. Work collaboratively with trust staff and external contractors on projects. Become familiar with each Trust academy site. Undertake the role of Fire Officer/Evacuation Co-ordinator in emergencies. Maintain relationships with external agencies and Local Authority. Ensure Personal Protective Equipment is utilized and inspected. Lock and unlock academy buildings, including call outs as needed. Ensure health and safety signage is adequate. Operate and respond to alarm systems as appropriate. Monitor CCTV equipment if required. Complete safety checks and maintain records. Carry out decoration and minor improvement works. Perform health and safety checks on school vehicles. Support cleaning functions and carry out inspections. Provide first aid assistance as required. Coordinate deliveries and manual handling of items. Responsibilities: Comply with policies related to child protection, health, safety, and security. Support equal opportunities for all. Contribute to the overall ethos and aims of the Trust. Attend relevant meetings and participate in training. Support the development of the Trust’s Equality policies. General Accountabilities: Comply with MLT Health and Safety and Premises Management Policy. Establish positive working relationships with all stakeholders. Comply with the Trust’s code of conduct and regulations. Develop self within the post through training and appraisal. Probationary Period: The successful candidate will undertake a six-month probationary programme.
