Newstaff Recruitment Agency is recruiting for a Trust Manager on behalf of a company based in St Albans. Key Responsibilities:
Oversee a diverse portfolio of UK resident and charitable trusts, ensuring compliance with annual accounts and tax deadlines. Review work prepared by team members and provide training, mentoring, and support to aid their development. Assist with high-level advisory work on inheritance tax, taxation, and other ad hoc matters. Liaise with tax, accounts, and financial planning teams to ensure a seamless service for clients. Manage budgets, monitor personal chargeability, and raise fee notes as required. Opportunity to develop skills in probate work, estate accounts, and charitable trusts if not already experienced. Qualifications:
Ideally
CTA
and/or
STEP qualified , or a willingness to work towards a STEP qualification. Alternatively, significant relevant experience in trust management. Technical Skills:
Strong understanding of trust administration and tax compliance. A working knowledge of
CCH Trust Accounts ,
CCH Personal Tax , and
CCH Practice Management System
is advantageous. Soft Skills:
Excellent communication, organisational, and team-working skills. Flexible, dependable, and proactive with a motivated and resilient attitude. Ability to quickly build trust and confidence with colleagues and clients. Benefits:
