EMPLOYMENT TUTOR - SHORT COURSES CHESTERFIELD, DERBYSHIRE, EAST MIDLANDS FULL TIME PERMANENT ROLE - SALARY UP TO £29K OVERVIEW This is an excellent opportunity to join an award-winning training provider who operates throughout the East Midlands region. As a Tutor, you will work within the Employability team, providing high-quality employment support and tailored training to learners accessing the training centre. The role will mainly involve teaching short employment-related courses (Levels 1/2) to cohorts of learners, which could include any of the following (depending on your sector experience): Employability Skills Customer Service Business Administration Hospitality Retail Health and Social Care Warehousing Construction IT / Digital Skills We are seeking a qualified Tutor / Trainer with experience in delivering at least 2-3 of the above subjects. The role will be based in Chesterfield, but there may be occasions when you need to work in Nottingham, Derby, and on employer sites - so a driving license is preferred. CANDIDATE PROFILE Teaching qualification e.g. AET/ PTLLS Experience of group delivery Experienced in preparing session plans Knowledge of Employability / welfare to work sector Knowledge of the local labour market Ability to motivate and inspire learners Good communication skills Good level of IT skills Experience of working to targets THE ROLE INCLUDES: Development of independent learning resources and flexible learning strategies to meet learning aims Produce quality approved schemes of work, session plans, and delivery resources as required for classroom-led sector and employer-led courses Delivery of quality facilitation, teaching, learning, and assessment that encourages and motivates learners to remain on provision To develop new course material to meet the needs of the learners and local labour market To support learners one-to-one with their employability needs To provide confidential and impartial information, advice, and guidance on employment and learning opportunities To manage own caseload to ensure contractual targets are met To ensure learner files meet contractual compliance Enrol learners for any required external exams Invigilate learners’ exams/tests Maintain awarding bodies records Ensure learners have access to up-to-date job vacancies Intensive support for learners with all job search activity To carry out learner reviews at milestones Maintain own CPD logs
