On-site working Recruit 12 has an exciting opportunity for a Tyre Performance Engineer to work with a top team in the field of electric motorsport, with strong performances across the Formula-E Championship. You’ll be supporting event preparation and trackside optimization of tyre usage and cooperating with factory-based engineers to enhance tyre simulation tools. Role and Responsibilities: Optimize tyre usage during track tests and race events to ensure peak performance in qualifying and races. Support trackside tyre performance engineering through test planning and analysis. Prepare pre-event tyre reports with recommendations for tyre preparation and usage. Provide data-driven feedback for tyre model development used in simulations and simulators. Assist in post-event tyre correlation with drivers and report findings. Communicate tyre performance data to drivers and race engineers. Required Skills: Strong knowledge and background in Vehicle Dynamics. Experience in Vehicle Dynamics modelling (e.g. Matlab, Simulink, SimPack, Dymola, Adams). Desirable (Not Essential): Trackside experience in a high-level motorsport series. Trackside experience in managing tyre preparation. Tyre modelling experience (e.g. Matlab, Simulink). Experience in developing tyre thermo-mechanical, high-fidelity, or physical models (e.g. brush models, FE models). Experience in tyre testing (indoor and outdoor), including planning, execution, and data analysis.
