Creating a better world through connected mobility for all. Toyota Connected is a new company designed to redefine the world’s mobility experience. We are delivering customer-focused products that aim to increase our access, convenience and, in some cases, fun! Toyota Connected Europe is looking for a UI/UX Product Designer to join the design team developing our future in-car experiences. Working closely with an existing team of talented design specialists, you will be responsible for designing global-scale applications and services that will enable users to engage with their vehicles in never-before-seen ways. If you are results-driven, deeply innovative, and interested in working on a team dedicated to delighting and improving the experience of all Toyota Customers, we want to talk to you!

You will: Work alongside a talented team of designers and engineers to build world-class applications and services. Work as part of a team-oriented, Agile software engineering environment. Own delivery of features from top to bottom, from concept to design to development handoff. Participate in designing a visual system that will enable rapid and scalable application design in the future. Participate in the larger design community including conferences, open-source contributions, UX writing, etc. Thrive as an independent, autonomous, creative thinker that can break out from conventional solutions. Work closely with product owners to shape and deliver features. Conceptualize experiences and realize them in detailed UI with consideration to brand and automotive requirements. Create UX design artifacts such as personas, wireframes, flowcharts, experience maps, etc. Analyze and describe user goals, use cases, and workflows. Develop and maintain design systems and style guides over the product development lifecycle and design UI artifacts including layouts, interaction design, UI elements, icons, and animations. Create mock-ups, prototypes, and simulations to validate the user experience early on, and coordinate with the developers’ implementation details to secure quality in the final product. Put accessibility, inclusion, and privacy at the heart of your design thinking. You’ll have: Production experience with complex web and native applications. Experience adapting to different platforms and screen sizes. You’ll be designing for automotive. Solid experience in creating wireframes, user flows, process flows, and site maps. Deep experience working in Figma. Excellent attention to detail. Experience working closely with front-end and mobile developers. A user-first approach to design thinking. Ability to explain your thoughts on usability, engagement, business/user needs, and effectiveness and help grow the skillsets of other designers. You are familiar with rapid prototyping tools like ProtoPie, Framer, Adobe XD, or similar. Nice to Have: Knowledge of automotive UX, Interaction design, and software development is a big plus. Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process. Equal Opportunities, Diversity & Inclusion Toyota Connected is proud to be an equal opportunity employer that celebrates the diversity of the communities where we live and do business. Every role is open to all sections of society and we are committed to providing equal opportunities to all. If you have a disability or any other additional need that requires consideration, accommodation, or adjustment to the role or recruitment process, please do let us know. Another thing we'd like to mention… There’s been a lot of research showing how marginalized groups of people may not apply for jobs unless they meet all of the requirements. We also know that many UXers come from wide and wonderful backgrounds with different experiences - We value people who bring unique perspectives and add new knowledge to our team! You might not feel like you “tick all the boxes” but we sincerely hope you’ll apply anyway because you could be exactly what we’re looking for!
