The Customs Compliance Manager is responsible for the implementation and upkeep of robust Customs procedures to ensure compliance in line with the Customs Authorisations held by AIT UK. They will monitor AIT UK Customs activities by undertaking internal audits, implementing processes, and delivering relevant training to ensure our Teams across the UK are all operating to the same compliant processes. Responsible for monitoring any changes to customs procedures and processes and delivering relevant information to the Management Team along with training/guidance where required to Operations. Manage our AEO Authorization to ensure compliance with relevant processes and protocols from a Customs Perspective. Manage customs guarantees and centralize the process for the UK business. Responsibilities

Ensure Customs Compliance across the UK. Manage guarantees in a centralized function. Implement training and internal audits covering all customs-related activities. Deliver updates to Management and Operations regarding Customs changes pertinent to our business and procedures. With the UK Customs Manager, implement improved processes for Customs activities and audit these regularly for compliance. Manage AIT AEO authorizations and take a leading role in internal and external audits. Ability to work in high-pressure environments. Work closely with operations to implement and maintain procedures. Other duties and responsibilities will be assigned as business demands deem necessary. Work closely with UK management to ensure all related compliance topics are delivered throughout the business. Continue development, education, and promotion of AIT’s compliance strategy across AIT UK locations. Qualifications

Skills and Experience: In-depth knowledge of HMRC procedures. Advanced ability to analyze, digest, and present large amounts of information to operational stakeholders related to compliance audits, training, and regulatory requirements. Works on assignments that are complex and difficult, requiring judgment in resolving issues or in making recommendations. Ability to manage compliance issues that arise. The ability to work independently. Expected to design and implement process improvements with the support of UK management. Effective prioritization of large projects. Travel required periodically.
