Job Description - Ultrasound Technologist (241125-50016297) Purpose of Position:

Under the direction of a radiologist and supervision of the Director of Radiology, performs a variety of ultrasound diagnostic procedures that require independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative in the application of nonionizing high frequency ultrasound waves for the diagnosis of pathology. Description

Practices according to entity mandatory requirements. Practices according to department expectations. Practices with a Customer Service approach to all activities. Utilizes internal and external resources appropriately. Documents according to entity/department guidelines. Utilizes techniques of time management effectively. Sets up, adjusts and operates medical equipment and instruments. Performs testing ordered by patient’s physician. Addresses age-specific needs of infants, toddlers, school age, adolescents, adults, older adults. Performs ultrasound procedures and follows exam protocols. Utilizes and maintains equipment in expert manner. Performs administrative and other tasks as requested. Consistently provides service excellence to all patients, family members, visitors, volunteers and co-workers in a manner that reflects Falmouth Hospital’s commitment to CARES: compassion, accountability, respect, excellence and service. Qualifications

Associate's degree (A. S.) or equivalent from two-year college or certificate program. Abdom/OB, or Echo RDMS, or eligible for registration, required. Current BLS. Schedule Details:

80PP (40 hrs per week), Rot. Day/Eve/Night, 8a-4p, 9a-5p, occasional 3p-11p Coverage, Rot. Weekends & Rot Holidays. ***This position must be Registered in Breast ultrasound within 1 year. Organization
