We look forward to meeting you! Your responsibilities Support the team with thermodynamic modeling and data analysis to drive Power Plant improvements. Deploy the Performance Monitoring Process to our Power Plants. Assist teams we interface with to understand and use our data. Drive small improvement projects within the team and in interface with other teams in Uniper. Ability to travel between Uniper sites throughout the UK and, on occasion, international travel. Your profile Degree with a strong mathematical base (engineering, physics, etc.). Basic level of modeling or programming (e.g., Python). Structured working style: understand the value of clear reporting, presentation, and planning; comfortable and proactive in engaging with stakeholders. Knowledgeable and/or willing to learn a variety of digital business tools (e.g., Loop, Power BI, DevOps, MS Projects). Comfortable questioning the status quo: do you see inefficiencies in the team? Can we do things better? You are comfortable speaking up! Available to come into the office to meet the team when required (e.g., 1-2 days a week). Understanding of thermodynamics and heat transfer. Basic knowledge of energy conversion systems: CCGT, Hydro, Battery, CO2 capture, etc. Operational Excellence mindset: client-focused, thinking about how processes could be improved, performance KPI-driven. Ability to speak German would be advantageous but not required.
