ADB is seeking a Project Manager with extensive knowledge of underground utility construction operations including equipment usage, labor skills, safe digging operations, and OSHA requirements. This role will be the direct supervisor of field construction crews and Supervisors; planning, directing, and organizing their day-to-day operations. ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Direct manager of Field Supervisors, ADB construction crews, and subcontractors including onboarding, training, discipline actions, terminations, payroll, and performance management. Has a full understanding of underground construction operations including equipment used, labor skills, safe digging operations, and OSHA requirements. Communicates regularly with major telecommunications and utility customers; has presentation and problem-solving skills to be always customer-centric. Manages the ordering of supplies, equipment, and materials for projects. Creates and manages project plans, schedules, objectives, procedures, and performance standards within the boundaries of the company’s mission, values, and policies. Adheres to and upholds ADB’s safety culture on site, leading by example and developing the expected safety culture on each project. Responsible for the financial health of project management; cost and profit of an entire project. Basic understanding of estimating and bidding projects. Ability to create and provide required reports to upper management. Communicates regularly with support staff including Human Resource, Recruiting, Fleet, and Accounting. Ability to support a fast-paced, demanding work schedule; schedule could include early mornings, evenings, weekends, etc. Performs other position duties as assigned by leadership. WORK ENVIRONMENT: Must be able to work in a variety of physical positions, like sitting, squatting, standing, walking, and driving. Must endure regular exposure to all weather conditions, especially hot, humid, and/or rainy spring, summer, and fall weather, combined with regular work time indoors in environmentally controlled conditions. May be exposed to uncomfortable or distracting sounds or noise levels on sites of projects being managed or coordinated. Must wear common protective safety equipment, such as safety glasses. EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: 5+ Years’ experience in underground/aerial utility construction required. 1-3+ years’ experience supervising underground utility and fiber installation construction crews required. Valid Driver License required- CDL preferred but not required. High School Diploma or equivalent required. ADB Companies, LLC is an equal opportunity employer.
