What you'll do:

Contribute to strategy and planning to ensure relevancy, compliance and optimal delivery Support the implementation of underwriting strategy to enable delivery of overall business targets Ensure adherence to underwriting standards, instructions and good practice to minimise risk and maximise efficiency Perform underwriting activities in accordance with all legal and regulatory requirements Establish, strengthen and develop relationships with stakeholders including customers, brokers, business partners and colleagues Underwrite insurance risks in accordance with the business plan and delegated underwriting authority Participate in the review and analysis of the portfolio to identify progress toward business objectives

What you bring:

Broad experience of working in an underwriting environment within a specialised/complex underwriting area Experience of resolving complex underwriting queries Specific professional qualifications at a level of degree or equivalent ACII (or equivalent) qualified or progress towards completion of insurance qualifications Strong interpersonal and communication skills Proficient in MS Office applications e.g. Excel and other departmental software packages Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment
