Underwriting Support Team

What You’ll Do As a key member of the Underwriting Support Team, you’ll manage your own caseload of mortgage applications, pre-offer queries, and pre-offer processing. Your role will be integral in ensuring customer queries, administrative requests, and issues are resolved efficiently and within agreed service levels. Your responsibilities will include: Delivering exceptional service to customers at every stage of their journey. Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to maintain high-quality relationships. Handling technical queries from third parties to progress cases to mortgage offers. Making and receiving phone calls to chase outstanding reports or requests. Completing tasks accurately and in line with company criteria, policies, and deadlines. What We’re Looking For We’re seeking candidates who are detail-oriented, proactive, and customer-focused. Experience working in a role requiring exceptional accuracy and attention to detail. Outstanding verbal and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively. Excellent time management, punctuality, and the ability to prioritize workloads to meet deadlines. Proven analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills. Desired Skills: Previous experience in quality checking or the financial services industry. A strong understanding of FCA regulations and regulatory risk. What’s in It for You? We offer an attractive package of benefits, including: £24,000 per year salary. Monday-Friday shifts (9 am - 5 pm). 23 days holiday, rising to 28 days based on length of service, plus bank holidays.
