ABOUT THE ROLE As a Unit Nurse Manager (General) at a Barchester care home, you'll use your compassion and initiative to ensure our residents receive the quality care they deserve. You'll plan, manage, and monitor the delivery of nursing that meets all of our residents' needs. This involves implementing person-centred care plans that positively impact our residents' day-to-day lives. Your responsibilities will include planning rotas, recruiting, training, and mentoring staff, as well as building relationships with local regulators and social services. In this role, you'll have the autonomy to enhance your unit, with ample opportunities for professional development. ABOUT YOU To join us as a Unit Nurse Manager (General), you must be a Registered Nurse (RGN) with current NMC registration. Experience in developing care plans and conducting detailed risk assessments is essential, along with a solid understanding of recent clinical practices and regulatory frameworks, including DoLs/MCA and Royal Pharmaceutical guidelines. You should be a natural leader with experience as a clinical mentor, supporting newly qualified nurses through their preceptorship.
