Universal Machinist Job Purpose We are seeking a skilled machinist to join our MPBU Machine Shop, where you will play a crucial role in the overhaul and salvage of components. Roles and Responsibilities Execute a variety of machining tasks such as Precision Grinding, Honing, Boring, Milling, Turning, CNC Turning, and fitting of Bush/Bearing components. Aid in monitoring and managing stock levels of bonded metals and consumable items. Participate in the implementation of shop floor improvement initiatives. Uphold stringent quality standards in all machining operations. Promote and maintain a culture focused on Continuous Improvement and exemplary housekeeping. Assist with the upkeep and maintenance of machinery and equipment. Experience, Qualifications, and Competencies Proficient in both numeracy and literacy, with a minimum qualification of GCSE (or equivalent) in Maths and English. Working Hours Monday to Thursday: 08:00 - 16:45 Friday: 08:00 - 15:45
