Unqualified English Teacher Southend-on-Sea £600-£650 per week (salary is depending on experience and/or qualifications) January 2025 Are you an English Graduate who is considering a long-term career in Teaching? Are you a confident individual who would feel comfortable leading the class as an Unqualified English Teacher? The School and Role We are working with a high achieving school in Southend-on-Sea who are seeking confident Graduates to work as Unqualified English Teachers. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to work on daily supply or in longer fixed term supply contracts. As an Unqualified English Teacher, you will be responsible for leading lessons of approximately 30 pupils in the absence of the class teacher. Based on your subject specialism, you will be supporting students in the absence of the teacher. Unqualified English Teachers will be responsible for teaching students at KS3, GCSE and A-Level. Successful Unqualified English Teachers are adaptable, flexible, motivated, confident and organised, with a passion for education and supporting young people. This role provides a great opportunity to gain experience of working within a Secondary school prior to applying to Initial Teacher Training. Although previous experience of working in a Secondary School is desirable, it is not essential. Unqualified English Teachers at this school have been given additional support and training to help them become fully qualified teachers after 1 year of teaching. Be a natural leader and someone with the confidence to lead a lesson in the absence of the class teacher. Be passionate about education and providing the highest possible level of support to young people. Have an ambition of becoming a qualified English Teacher.
