Unqualified Learning Mentor + Additional Training
Are you a graduate looking to upskill yourself with classroom experience?
A fantastic secondary school in the heart of Hounslow is on the hunt for bright graduates to join their supportive team to start as Unqualified Learning Mentors as soon as possible. This would be a full-time contract for the entire academic year, with the possibility to then either complete teacher training with the school or remain in a pastoral unit.
Unqualified Learning Mentor - What will you be doing?
The school will lean into your strengths; if this is a specific subject, you will assist in the classrooms of your specialism. If your strength is psychology/criminology, this could be supporting students with additional needs including SEN and SEMH needs. Delivering targeted interventions for students in 1:1 and group settings, gaining valuable teaching skills on a smaller scale. Assessing the progress of students via exams, essays, and interventions and reporting this to a class teacher or SENCo. This role is an incredible opportunity for aspiring teachers or aspiring psychologists alike, with the school keen to direct you towards your chosen area of support!
