EdEx are working with 4 'Good' and 'Outstanding' schools across the Borough of Wandsworth who are looking for Unqualified Teachers - Science, Maths, and English for full time, permanent contracts commencing ASAP.
The Unqualified Teachers - Science, Maths, English position is the perfect opportunity for a graduate looking to kickstart their teaching career and have their teacher training funded by the school they work with.
There are many routes into being a qualified teacher from this role, including the 12 week assessment only route, a schools direct initial teacher training programme, and a PGCE.
What will the role of an Unqualified Teacher - Science, Maths, English entail?
Have your own classes that you are responsible for with the support of a subject specialist mentor who would work with you intensively Provided schemes of work Working alongside the School covering all lessons Providing high quality cover lessons - KS3-4 basis Having a subject specialism where your personal strengths lie Raising attainment & the quality of learning Inspiring & motivating young minds Managing behavior effectively ASAP Start - Full Time - Term Time Only UQT1 - UQT6 - £24,000 - £36,500 per annum What are we looking for?
Academics:
A degree at 1st class or 2:1 in Science, Maths, or English from a reputable university Strong A-Levels and GCSEs
Experience:
Strong experience working inside education in any of the following roles:
Unqualified Teacher Cover Supervisor HLTA Tutor (6 months+) Teaching Assistant (6 months+)
Personality:
Passionate about your subject specialism Committed to a career in education Comfortable teaching classes of 25-30
