Our client is seeking a talented Upholsterer to join their team and contribute to the creation of beautifully crafted upholstered furniture. If you have experience working with different fabrics and materials, and enjoy hands-on work in a dynamic environment, this could be the perfect role for you.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Skilfully using hand tools and power tools to cut, shape, and attach materials
- Assembling beds and other furniture pieces by following detailed guidelines
- Performing thorough quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet high standards
- Keeping your workspace organized and ensuring it meets cleanliness standards
- Collaborating with team-mates to ensure production targets and deadlines are consistently met
Day-to-Day Duties:
- Measuring, cutting, and shaping upholstery materials with precision
- Upholstering furniture components to create completed, high-quality pieces
- Repairing and replacing upholstery on furniture as necessary
- Safely lifting and moving larger furniture items as part of the production process
- Using basic mechanical skills to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to upholstery
What You’ll Bring:
- Prior experience as an upholsterer or similar role is a plus
- Detail-oriented with excellent coordination and manual dexterity
- Skilled using hand tools and power tools to work with various upholstery materials
- Physically able to lift and handle heavy items when needed
- Good organizational habits to keep your work area tidy
- Comfortable working in a warehouse or production environment
