The Applications Scientist II for Cytiva is responsible for performing applications studies for bioreactors and mixers. This position is part of the Upstream and Fluid Management R&D Applications Team located in Portsmouth, UK, and will be on-site. At Cytiva, our vision is to advance future therapeutics from discovery to delivery. What you will do: Work under limited supervision. Contribute to experimental design. Serve as a technical resource. Come up with new ideas and employ them to solve technical challenges. Contribute to innovation sessions and turn ideas into lab-based action. Perform applications studies related to bioreactors and mixers. Develop and perform standard protein analytics. Analyze and report results accurately according to GDP. Produce high-quality technical reports for internal use and present your data to internal audiences. Produce study plans and batch work instructions. Who you are: BS in a technical field related to biotechnology 1-2 years of experience in a bioprocess working environment Proficiency in mammalian cell culture and running of stirred tank bioreactors Experience in protein analytics Proficiency in use of MS Office package and in data analytics Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:
