If you are an experienced Technician, this is an ideal opportunity to join a rapidly expanding Rail company based in either Staffordshire or Doncaster. They are currently seeking a Uptime Technician on a permanent basis as the company continues to expand and grow within the industry. As an Uptime Technician, you will be offered a fantastic salary and work Monday to Friday days, 37.5 hours a week. You will also receive other benefits such as a company pension, 33 days holiday, and private healthcare opt-in. As an Uptime Technician, you will be instrumental in the continuous improvement of our FSP fleet performance through the proactive provision of data-driven information. You will generate reports and troubleshooting guidance to reduce failures, downtime, and unscheduled events while increasing reliability and availability. We are looking for individuals with vast experience on the class 66 locomotives. Your role will include various tasks such as:

Proactively monitor and review the Uptime locomotive fleet to identify improvement opportunities. Continually develop the system to improve performance. Develop Predictive Maintenance rules to identify locomotive issues which could impact locomotive performance. Analyze fleet fault trends and participate in engineering root cause investigations. Carry out technical services, including fault finding, repair, overhaul, and modification activities as necessary. Provide locomotive troubleshooting direction. Create troubleshooting procedures based on issues observed while monitoring locomotives. Travel as required to perform field problem investigation, UK and internationally. Competencies Required:

Excellent understanding of the class 66 & 69 and their systems. Detailed knowledge of company products, particularly electrical/electronic systems and its associated components including EM2000 and software. Able to demonstrate a logical, analytical, and objective approach to problem-solving and fault diagnosis. Demonstrable experience of data analysis and presentation. A clear understanding of risk and mitigation. Engineering Advanced Apprenticeship or equivalent experience. BTEC National Certificate / ONC in Engineering or European equivalent. MS Excel competence.
