Uptime Support Manager (12-Month Contract) KeyMed (Medical & Industrial Equipment) Ltd. In this role, you’ll support healthcare professionals in ensuring the safe use of endoscopes and improving patient outcomes, offering you valuable hands-on experience in medical technology.

Meet the Team

You will work closely with Dan Hughes, the Regional Uptime Support Manager, who oversees the Northeast, Yorkshire and Midlands area. On a day-to-day basis, you'll collaborate with the Territory Managers in your territory, forming a strong and supportive team. Dan's Uptime Support team itself is diverse, consisting of 13 professionals from a mix of age groups, genders, educational, and professional backgrounds, which creates a dynamic and inclusive work environment.

Your responsibilities

Reduce Repairs:

Analyse repair data to identify trends and support customers in minimising equipment damage. Add Value to Service Contracts:

Partner with customers who invest significantly in our service contracts. Build strong relationships and ensure they gain the most from their partnership with Olympus. Conduct Training:

Deliver engaging, practical, and interactive training sessions for healthcare professionals on cleaning and handling endoscopes. Promote Best Practices:

Emphasise the importance of proper equipment use and maintenance while confidently addressing challenges, including having difficult conversations about repair numbers. Collaborate and Engage:

Work closely with a diverse team, including Territory Managers (TMs) and Regional Managers, while independently managing your territory. Build Relationships:

Be socially adept, confident in presenting, and able to connect with people from all walks of life. Minimum Requirements

Valid UK work visa and driving license. Fluent oral and written communication skills in English. We’ve had great success hiring individuals with backgrounds in decontamination, working in a hospital/clinical setting, teaching/presenting, or telesales, as these experiences often translate well into this role. Passion for patient-focused work and improving healthcare outcomes, which is more important than previous industry experience. Strong communication and social skills, with the ability to confidently engage with people from all walks of life. Comfortable using Microsoft Office tools, such as Excel and PowerPoint. This is an entry-level role, and while relevant experience is helpful, we value passion for our patient-focused mission above all else.
