An opportunity has arisen for a Urology Clerk to join our small but enthusiastic team who work in a very busy department. The successful candidate will have good interpersonal skills, a good telephone manner, a caring attitude and the ability to work well under pressure. They will need a very keen eye for detail to support clinical activity with well prepared clinic notes. Main duties of the job

Clinical note preparation for patients attending our Out Patient clinics. Tracking notes after clinic and delivering them to health records. Supporting the reception at peak times or to cover annual leave. Booking patients for their clinic appointments, carefully recording the outcome and making any follow up appointments. Liaising with other departments. Answering telephone enquiries and directing patients to correct clinic locations and managing 'walk in' enquiries. About us

Qualifications

Willing to undertake additional training on departmental IT and manual systems. Demonstrates good literacy. GCSE level or equivalent English and Maths. Experience

Previous clerical work. Recent NHS experience. Skills

Experienced in using IT systems. Able to use OASIS, IFIT, PAS or similar systems. Disclosure and Barring Service Check
