Effective and efficient patient administration supports management through ensuring a high standard of data quality and by making the best use of capacity and resources. The Medical Secretaries play a vital part in the effective patient administration. The successful applicant will be an enthusiastic team player with excellent customer care and interpersonal skills. A minimum of 2 GCSE's or equivalent of Grade C and above is required, including English or NVQ2 or equivalent in related subjects. Experience in secretarial duties and have the ability to use their own initiative and prioritise work to achieve deadlines. Knowledge of medical terminology would be an advantage and have outstanding communication skills. A flexible approach to work is required as well as an ability to get on with others in a team based environment with demanding work pressures.
