Job Mission: The US Market Development Director will spearhead the company’s growth in the United States, transforming it into a strategic home market. This is a high-impact role for a dynamic leader with a proven track record in sales, marketing, and business development. The successful candidate will develop and execute strategies that significantly expand Jumbo’s footprint across retail, specialty, and e-commerce channels while amplifying brand awareness and customer engagement. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Market Development: Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy to establish the US as a major market for Jumbo. Identify and capitalize on market opportunities to achieve significant growth within three years. Customer & Channel Management: Build and nurture relationships with key accounts such as Walmart, Target, and other strategic partners. Drive growth across mid-tier national accounts (e.g., Barnes & Noble, Meijer), specialty and independent retailers. Lead the strategy on e-commerce platforms. Drive revenue growth by expanding the reach of Jumbo Group’s intellectual property (IP) across all relevant channels. Manage the groups robust sales pipeline, ensuring consistent performance against targets. Collaborate with Media and PR partners to design and implement impactful marketing campaigns that elevate Jumbo’s brand presence. Align marketing initiatives together with the Marketing Manager with sales objectives to ensure cohesive market penetration. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including global leadership, product development, and operations, to align US operations with Jumbo’s overarching business goals. Experience: Minimum 10 years in senior sales, marketing, or business development roles, preferably within children toys. Demonstrated success in building and scaling businesses in the US market. Skills and Requirements: Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and drive cross-functional teams. Expertise in developing and executing market entry and growth strategies. Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build lasting relationships with customers and stakeholders. Deep understanding of the US retail landscape, including mass-market, specialty, and e-commerce channels. Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for innovation and growth. Familiarity with developing and managing brand marketing campaigns in collaboration with external agencies. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. Seniority level
