Used Car Manager Citygate Volkswagen & Skoda, Watford Permanent OTE: £65,000 Role overview As the Used Car Manager, you will be required, through a strategic and hands-on approach, to manage the used car sales environment, the people, and the process to maximize the profit opportunity and customer satisfaction. Key responsibilities As the Used Car Manager, your key responsibilities will be: Inventory Management

Oversee the procurement of used vehicles, ensuring a diverse and profitable inventory. Monitor stock levels, turnover rates, and pricing strategies to maximize profitability. Ensure all vehicles are properly inspected, serviced, and ready for sale.

Customer Relations

Develop and maintain excellent customer service practices to foster loyalty and repeat business. Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and escalations professionally. Build relationships with clients and create referral opportunities.

Pricing and Profitability

Set competitive pricing strategies for used vehicles while ensuring profitability. Monitor and adjust pricing based on market conditions and inventory levels. Maximize profit margins through effective upselling of warranties, financing, and additional services.

Compliance and Documentation

Ensure compliance with all state and federal laws regarding vehicle sales. Oversee accurate completion of contracts, titles, and other required documentation. Maintain dealership records in accordance with company and legal standards.

Marketing and Promotions

Collaborate with the marketing team to plan and execute promotional campaigns. Advertise inventory through online platforms, social media, and traditional media. Monitor the effectiveness of advertising strategies and adjust as necessary.

Performance Reporting

Prepare and present regular sales and performance reports to senior management. Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and identify areas for improvement. Analyze data to optimize processes and drive profitability.

Collaboration

Work closely with the finance and insurance (F&I) department to ensure smooth transactions. Coordinate with service and reconditioning departments to prepare vehicles for sale. Build relationships with wholesale buyers and other dealerships.
