Prentice Portadown is looking for a Used Car Sales Manager. The role As a Sales Manager, you will work with the Sales Manager and Head of Business to lead, motivate, manage, and drive the sales team to provide customer service excellence while delivering against the company’s key performance indicators. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Take responsibility for the presentation of the Used Car forecourt. Build and maintain strong relationships with your team. Work closely with other departments, hands-on with the day-to-day running of the centre. Achieve the highest sales results and customer service standards. Customer service: Ensuring customers receive high-quality service and that all enquiries are handled quickly and effectively. Sales targets and volume: Working to meet and exceed sales targets and KPIs, increasing sales volumes and working with the sales team to grow profits. Purchasing older used vehicles for all departments. Disposing of trade cars. Maximising Opportunities: Support the sales team in daily operations including but not limited to customer contact, sales deal building and closing, and vehicle preparation while ensuring the correct level of stock is kept to the company’s agreed level. Maximising Profit: By driving the sales process and supporting the sales team in achieving their monthly KPIs for unit sales, profit per unit, finance penetration, and add-on products within Used Cars. Carry out accurate appraisals of all vehicles presented as part-exchange and agree valuations. Complete satisfactory negotiations with potential customers to maximise sales. Ensure budgetary sales/profit forecasts are achieved and monitor departmental performance. Data Quality and FSA Compliance: Ensure accurate completion of all Used Car sales paperwork and provide reports as required on all sales activities ensuring accurate sales forecasts. Ensure that the sales team accurately and vigorously collects all customer contact and vehicle data to maximise the quality and content of the customer database (adhering to the Company’s FSA obligations). Your profile Alongside your customer-centric attitude, you will be commercially minded, passionate about the car industry, and motivated by setting, achieving, and exceeding targets. As well as: A proven track record in sales (within the Automotive Industry). The ability to lead by example, manage, and inspire the team to deliver incredible performance. Experience supervising a team. Self-motivation. Excellent relationship-building, customer-facing, and negotiating skills. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage conflicting demands. Excellent IT skills to include MS Office and Excel. Honest, respectful with a strong sense of integrity. A full, valid, and clean UK Driving License. Desirables Knowledge of FCA Regulations. Experience within a Franchised Retailer.
