Main Duties of Role Plan, design, and conduct user research to gather insights on user needs, behaviours, and pain points. Use a variety of research methods, including interviews, usability testing, surveys, and data analysis. Collaborate with service designers and business analysts to translate user insights into actionable recommendations. Advocate for users and ensure their needs are at the forefront of decision-making. Work closely with the project team to ensure compliance with DSSS criteria and principles. Document and share research findings to inform the development of user-centred solutions. Contribute to the development of personas, user journeys, and scenarios. Provide expertise in accessibility and inclusivity to ensure all users are considered.
Role Criteria Key Skills and Experience: Strong knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research methods. Familiarity with Digital Scotland Service Standard and its application in government projects. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills. Experience working in multidisciplinary teams. Knowledge of accessibility standards and inclusive design practices.
