The End User Compute and Collaboration portfolio at the Home Office is looking for talented User Researchers to help design and deliver exceptional outcomes for diverse roles and communities. About Us The End User Compute and Collaboration team is responsible for providing and supporting all Home Office end-user services. This includes devices, applications, and critical services like: Laptops and mobile phones Contact centre platforms Video conferencing tools M365 applications: MS Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive You’ll work in a fast-paced delivery environment - either across multiple smaller products or dedicated to a larger programme. Your research will inform policy, propositions, services, content, and interactions, ensuring they meet user needs and achieve policy goals. What You’ll Do Plan, design, and conduct user research to understand user needs and behaviours. Translate findings into actionable insights that shape digital services. Lead on research moderation, analysis, and generating outputs. Ensure accessibility by including participants with diverse needs in research. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (designers, product owners) to define research questions and prioritise findings. What You’ll Bring Expertise in user research methods for different lifecycle phases, delivering actionable insights. Ability to advocate for user-centred approaches and clearly articulate their value. Commitment to ethical research practices that safeguard participants and researchers. Experience researching diverse audiences to create inclusive digital services. Proficiency in managing, executing, and analysing usability testing to inform decisions.
