Meet with utility and sewerage undertakers – both onsite and off-site to negotiate emerging utilities alterations (diversion of existing infrastructure) and new connection works that fulfill our client’s technical and commercial needs. Prepare regular progress and quality reports including technical sketches. Project manage technical aspects of these often complex projects. Check, review, and update 2D (very occasionally 3D) AutoCAD drawings and output fully coordinated engineering drawings in conjunction with our CAD team. Provide technical, commercial, and procurement advice to large and often prestigious commercial, residential, and mixed-use developers. Support large regeneration and masterplanning projects from early infrastructure planning through to installation and commissioning of multi-utility, foul/surface water/SuDs, and mobility services. Manage the alteration of existing utility networks in very constrained (often below ground) spaces to de-risk some of the UK’s most prestigious development projects. Conduct site visits to assess project progress and ensure compliance with technical specifications. Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure project timelines and budgets are met. Assist in the development and implementation of health and safety protocols for project sites. This is a great opportunity to take an Engineering Technician proficient in one discipline and demonstrate the value of inter-disciplinary working – one team with a joined-up outcome. Benefits:
