Summary
We’re growing and looking for an experienced and successful Business Utilities Sales Consultant to join our energy contract sales team. This is an exciting opportunity to help grow our business by securing new customers, selling additional services to existing customers, and cross-selling to other departments.
Your role will be to oversee the end-to-end sales process for bespoke electricity, gas contracts, and other complementary services for SME businesses. You must have a proven track record in delivering excellent customer service, as well as achieving individual and team targets.

Our continued success is fundamentally due to ensuring our service is based on the best fit solution for our clients and by offering a truly unique in-demand service; comparing supplier tariffs not only on price but by their carbon footprint.
As well as saving £Millions for our clients, we have also avoided tens of thousands of tonnes of carbon emissions by choosing a cheaper, greener tariff.
Key Responsibilities
Responsible for new business development (direct sales) of B2B utilities
Manage and grow your own portfolio of clients
Assess customer requirements and provide the best-suited supplier contracts
Promote carbon-neutral utility contracts and the benefits to the client
Ensure that personal sales targets are met
Ensure that customers always have a positive experience with the company
Liaise with the administration team to ensure processes are managed efficiently
Participate in exhibitions and other marketing events
Key Skills & Qualifications
Minimum 2 years experience in B2B utility sales
Capable of understanding technical concepts of utilities to explain effectively to customers
Professional, ethical approach with a focus on the customer
Dynamic, self-motivated, and pro-active
Ambitious for personal growth and career development
Excellent interpersonal skills
Good attention to detail
Work in an orderly fashion
Computer literate, particularly with Office 365

In return, the successful candidate will be supported to achieve their own career goals with a fulfilling personal development plan and an uncapped commission structure. Our Utility Brokering department is set up to best support the Sales team by managing post-sale administration and keeping the Sales Team focused on helping customers save time, money, and carbon through our range of services. Although you will be expected to generate your own leads, Go Low Carbon will also be generating leads from our network of partners, digital marketing, and attending networking events.
The role will be varied and while primarily being a remote position, there will also be opportunities to regularly represent the company at events.
Package
Contract: Permanent, 35.5 hours per week.
Salary: Up to £30,000 plus uncapped commission structure (£30-150K)
Holidays: 32 days, inclusive of bank holidays.
Location: Flexible. The successful candidate can work from our head office in Carlisle or alternatively will be supported in working from a home office. Travel to the head office or meeting points will be required occasionally.
