Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week currently, or 40% of our time, at our Edinburgh or Leeds office. About this opportunity… We need a hands-on UX Designer with experience in championing the employee experience. You'll work with our internal teams to help drive the design strategy for our LBG employee experience. You should have a deep understanding of the different facets of user experience including research, information architecture, usability testing, and applying it to create compelling digital experiences. You'll be a subject matter authority in visual design, balancing business requirements and user needs. What you’ll do… You’ll love your craft and enjoy sharing your knowledge, whether that’s advocating for user experience principles, defining new design opportunities or helping to evolve the design literacy and craft in the business unit. Communicate clearly, be insightful, and highly motivated and proactive. Join a growing design team and work with product teams in improving the digital colleague experience. Report to the Experience Design Lead in the Modern Workplace platform, focusing on internal support services for the IT needs of our colleagues. Help to drive a user-centric culture and industry-leading colleague experience strategy with a clear design identity and focus on delivering optimal cross-channel experiences. Design experiences and interfaces by creating high quality UX work, including IA, flowcharts, storyboards, prototypes, and final designs. Lead UX design activities, ensuring designs are guided by insights and research, including analytics and AI. Work closely with service designers and researchers to drive design decisions in accordance with user needs and business requirements. Provide critical thinking, design coaching, and guidance within the team and across the business. Communicate the “why” and “what” to team members regarding UX improvements clearly and methodically. Good knowledge and experience with Figma and Adobe CC design tools. Create and maintain a centralized design system and asset repository to ensure consistency and scalability. Help to measure the effectiveness and value of UX implementations and innovations. Be an active member of the LBG design community to share knowledge, create ideas, and promote principles of design across a range of products, services, and design spaces. What you’ll need… Calmness and resilience, and the ability to proactively identify new or potential risks and respond to emerging priorities. Design experience within technical and engineering environments, with third-party systems like Microsoft SharePoint. Build positive relationships and be credible when dealing with senior audiences; with the confidence to provide a healthy challenge where appropriate. Evidence of a portfolio of work demonstrating your visual design process and versatility across different platforms and projects.
