The role Fugro are now seeking an Unexploded Ordnance (UXO) Consulting Specialist to join the Europe and Africa Geoconsulting team based in either Wallingford, Oxfordshire, Louvaine-la-Neuve, Belgium or Nootdorp, Netherlands. Reporting to the Department Head for Geophysics Geoconsulting, your responsibilities will be two-fold; to coordinate regional screening studies as to the UXO risk levels for offshore wind installations, advising on UXO risk mitigation measures and secondly to define optimal technical solution in terms of UXO survey for marine sites, where UXO is identified as a risk, this will include working with many internal stakeholders and external clients to agree the best technical campaigns. Who we’re looking for : A degree or MSc in History, Archaeology, Explosive Engineering, Earth Sciences or Geotechnical Engineering. Previous experience as a UXO Consultant is essential. Chartership or actively pursuing chartership through appropriate professional institutions to support ALARP assessment. Willingness to travel overseas. Excellent verbal and written English language skills. A passion for learning and a drive for improvements through innovation. Work collaboratively with colleagues and peers. Excellent communication skills and able to build strong influential relationships. Focused on delivering results.
