V3 are recruiting for a field-based store merchandiser. This role involves visiting retail hardware stores to promote our clients' services. You will ensure that the brand is well represented with good product availability in all stores. We are ideally looking for someone with a strong retail background and excellent customer service skills. The ideal candidate will be over 21 years old and hold a clean driving license, as this role involves driving to various DIY stores mainly in the North Hampshire and Thames Valley area. A small van and uniform will be provided. This role is 37.5 hours a week with a salary of £25,000 per annum, with a bonus paid on in-store signs. Job Purpose As the Retail Sales Executive, you will be responsible for the maintenance and engagement of retail stockists of skip bags. For many customers, their first part of the service starts in-store, and it is essential to ensure that our brand is represented well with good product availability. The Retail Sales Executive will also be the face to many of our stores, which will include engagement with store colleagues to ensure they have the product knowledge required to sell to their customers. There will also be new store sales activity to engage with new sites across a chain that sells skip bags elsewhere, to improve availability across the country. Key Tasks 1. Visit Skip Bags Stockists 1.1 Complete a scheduled visit plan of stockists, managing the logistical operation of daily route planning. 1.2 Complete visit reports on the Repsly App, capturing key details and information that feeds into the Retail Database. 1.3 Engage with store colleagues, supporting with any queries they have and providing product training when required. 1.4 Support stores with stocking issues such as stock misalignment, ensuring store systems are accurate for correct automated forecasting and replenishment. 1.5 Encourage stock orders from stores that purchase their own stock, ensuring a suitable stock holding is always available. 1.6 Improve display locations to ensure the skip bags are available in the best locations in each store, including multiple locations if applicable. 2. Merchandising Checks 2.1 Maintain stand condition to a high standard, including POS and product packaging. 2.2 Repair or replace damage where required, or order replacement parts and follow through for stores to implement later. 2.3 Report all stand conditions and damage on the Repsly App. 2.4 Ensure collection pricing on all packaging is correct. 3. New Store Sales 3.1 Engage with new stores to promote and sell the product in brands that already sell the bags elsewhere in their chain. 3.2 Support them through onboarding, including stock orders, merchandising, and training. 3.3 Identify new retailer opportunities for the Sales Manager. 3.4 Support independent retailers with stock orders and new sign-up activities. 4. Retail Management 4.1 Support the Sales Manager in store engagement and planning. 4.2 Provide regular feedback on the store environment and competitor changes. 4.3 Plan scheduling to complete cycles of scheduled visits and support new stockists with training and setup. 4.4 Assist the Sales Manager with field sales activities. Any other ad-hoc duties as required to support the needs of the business. This role requires strong interpersonal skills, a keen eye for visual presentation, and the ability to work collaboratively with store staff to enhance the customer experience and achieve business objectives.
