Valve Fitter/Technician About the Role: We are seeking a skilled Valve Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, assembly, and testing of various types of industrial valves. This role requires hands-on technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot valve-related issues efficiently. Key Responsibilities: Inspect, disassemble, repair, and reassemble a variety of industrial valves, including but not limited to control valves, gate valves, ball valves, check valves, and pressure relief valves. Conduct testing and calibration of valves to ensure compliance with industry standards and specifications. Perform on-site and in-house troubleshooting and maintenance of valve systems. Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals to execute repairs effectively. Utilize specialized tools and equipment to ensure high-quality workmanship. Ensure all work complies with industry standards, health & safety regulations, and company policies. Document service reports, test results, and inspection findings accurately. Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to optimize valve performance. Provide technical support and guidance to customers as needed. Key Requirements: HNC in mechanical engineering or equivalent preferred. Experience: hands-on experience in valve maintenance, repair, and servicing. Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with different types of industrial valves and their applications. Mechanical Aptitude: Strong understanding of mechanical systems and fluid control technologies. Problem-Solving: Ability to diagnose and resolve valve-related issues efficiently. Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with team members and clients. Work Environment: Comfortable working in workshop and field environments, including occasional travel if required. Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience in industries such as Oil & Gas, Power Generation, Petrochemical, Water Treatment, or Manufacturing. Knowledge of safety regulations, including OSHA, and quality assurance procedures. Ability to operate lifting equipment, pneumatic and hydraulic tools.
