Swanstaff Ltd are looking for a Van driver for our client based in Charlton.

Objective:

Responsible for delivering sales orders to customers in a safe and professional manner. You will load orders onto the company vehicle safely, securing the products as required, and collect materials from suppliers as requested. Excellent customer service is required when liaising with both customers and suppliers, being helpful, polite, and professional. Responsibilities: The Store Driver is responsible for the delivery of product, collection of materials, and providing the highest level of service to our customers. You will take the utmost care whilst driving and adhere to all relevant rules and signs to undertake the most direct route, arriving to customers on time. Use mechanical aids where necessary in a safe and efficient way, requesting training/assistance if required. Prepare customer orders. Load customer orders onto the company vehicle. Deliver orders to customers as required using the company vehicle efficiently. Pick up materials at suppliers as required using the company vehicle efficiently. Ensure the company vehicle is clean and tidy, levels and tyre pressures are checked regularly, and any damages reported to your Manager as soon as possible. Maintain housekeeping of warehouse and offices to be kept clean, tidy, organized, and properly stocked, which will involve cleaning, tidying up, etc. Work in cooperation and a professional manner with your colleagues, other Stores, and head office staff. Assist in moving products and supplies within the store warehouse as required and directed. Assist in ensuring the Store complies with all safety standards. Comply with company policies and procedures. Perform other duties as requested. Person Specification: You will be a friendly, organized, conscientious person who is accurate, possesses good attention to detail, and can take instruction as well as work on your own initiative with minimal supervision. Good attendance, time-keeping, and flexibility are also required. This role requires you to be able to communicate and listen to our customers. Physically, you will be able to lift, stack, and move material to and from locations within the warehouse, and load materials on and off the vehicle with the use of mechanical aids if needed. Hours of Work: Monday - Friday 7.00am - 4.00pm, unpaid 30 mins lunch and unpaid 15 minute breaks morning and afternoon at £12.00ph. Alternate Saturdays 8.00am - 12.00pm at £13.00ph.
