Vat Manager

Butler Rose, public practice is delighted to be supporting our client, a well-established Award winning firm of accountants based in Birmingham that are keen to appoint a skilled and experienced VAT manager.
Role Requirements:
Act as the central resource for the Firm in relation to all VAT related activities. Support clients across a range of client types and industry sectors. Develop strong and long-lasting relationships with clients by building trust and through regular communication. Build and develop strong internal relationships with Partners and business areas in order to identify and leverage VAT opportunities from within the Firm's existing client base. Increase the external profile of the Firm's VAT offering, with the support from the marketing and business development team. Begin to introduce new clients to the Firm. Train and develop colleagues to increase their understanding of VAT risks and opportunities.
Personal Requirements:
Excellent VAT technical knowledge across a broad range of industries. A strong commercial approach to winning and delivering work. Genuine ability and desire to build relationships within the Firm. Confident and competent at delivering presentations and training. Excellent written and spoken communication skills. Relevant professional qualifications (CTA/ACA/ACCA).
