VAT Manager / Senior Manager

TPF Recruitment is recruiting for a VAT Manager / Senior Manager to join a market-leading firm of chartered accountants in Maidstone, within their Indirect Tax team. This leading, top-rated firm of chartered accountants provides accountancy, tax, corporate, financial advisory and other services to a fantastic range of clients across corporates, professional practices, not-for-profit organisations and private clients. The business provides a range of assurance and business services to a diverse client base, ranging from small businesses and start-ups to substantial international groups. Their client portfolio includes businesses from a variety of different industry sectors, both private and publicly listed businesses, with a national remit but primarily focused on the South-East from their Kent Office. Joining the Maidstone team as a VAT Manager / Senior Manager, you will work within a regional team, responsible for providing a mixed VAT compliance and advisory service as well as: The successful candidate will have the opportunity to lead in specific sectors, dependent on their own areas of expertise and interests. This role is not just delivery. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to gain exposure to marketing and business development too, should they wish. Our client regularly provides client updates at physical events and webinars. This role will report into the VAT Partner and there is the opportunity for progression to director and beyond. A team of junior staff below this position, and you will oversee and support them with their work and development. There is a significant amount of interaction with other lines of services (tax, audit, corporate finance etc). Requirements

You will be ACA/ACCA or ATT/ CTA qualified or qualified with experience with a strong background in indirect/VAT tax, with experience gained within an accountancy practice environment or HMRC. You will have extensive VAT compliance and/or advisory experience. Benefits

£60,000 - £75,000 dependent on experience and background, negotiable.
