Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Vehicle mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and be proficient in the use of hand tools and power tools. As a Vehicle Technician, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining light vehicles (mainly vans) to ensure they operate efficiently and safely. Hours & Pay Mon-Fri 8am-6pm & Every Other Saturday. Pay rate : 14- 16p/h starting wage. Responsibilities Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify issues and determine necessary repairs. Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake checks, and tyre rotations. Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively to carry out repairs and maintenance work. Diagnose mechanical problems using diagnostic equipment and provide accurate reports on findings. Maintain a clean and organised work environment, ensuring all tools and equipment are stored properly. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of repairs while adhering to safety standards. Keep up-to-date with industry developments and best practices to enhance skills and knowledge. Qualifications Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in vehicle repair or maintenance. Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose issues accurately. Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Relevant qualifications or certifications in automotive technology or a related field would be advantageous but are not essential.
