Location: Silverstone, UK Reporting to: Head of Performance Analysis Department: Andretti Cadillac at Andretti Global Background: Led by racing legend Michael Andretti, the team fields multiple entries in INDYCAR, INDY NXT, IMSA, and Formula E. The global racing enterprise boasts over 250 race wins, four INDYCAR Series championships, five INDY NXT titles, one Indy Pro 2000, and one USF2000 championship, and has captured victory five times at the famed Indianapolis 500-Mile Race. The team is now looking to expand into the pinnacle of motorsport through our Andretti Cadillac Team. Job description: We have an opportunity for a Vehicle Performance Engineer to join the Andretti Cadillac Team at the new Silverstone Facility. In this role, you will lead and undertake a variety of tasks relating to vehicle performance simulation, analysis, model development, and simulator operations. Principal Accountabilities: Undertake performance, simulation and vehicle dynamics projects to drive: Short-term performance. Long-term performance. Simulation and analysis tool development. Engineering support for Design, Aero, Strategy and Race Engineering groups. Simulator operations. Race event support. Tire model development. Data pipeline continuous improvement. Develop and maintain department administration and reporting procedures. Minimum Requirements: Strong understanding of physics and math relating to high performance vehicles. Experience of Python or MATLAB / Simulink. Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines. Open to new ideas and approaches. Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills. Able to perform duties in a timely manner with minimal errors. Communicate effectively with a range of people in other departments across the organisation. Clear and concise communication, verbally and with the use of email. Strong levels of IT skills including MS Office, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
