Role Overview: We require an experienced Vehicle Scientist to join our Vehicle Performance Group to develop the performance of our current and future race cars. Main Responsibilities: Support Race Engineering with simulation and data analysis before, during and after race and test events Analyse track and R&D data and produce reports on findings Investigate potential mechanicals and controls upgrades through conceptual studies and simulation Correlate mathematical models (including simulator) and simulation results with track and R&D data Improve analysis and simulation tools Qualifications, skills and experience required: Strong background in applied mathematics and physics (MSc/MEng) Able to derive basic models from first principles Competent at running vehicle model simulations and interpreting the results Able to demonstrate a sound understanding of race car mechanical and control systems Able to use MATLAB and Simulink independently Experience with additional programming languages (Python, C, C++, C# etc.) desirable Knowledge of MESL suite (ATLAS, vTAG, System Monitor) Motorsport experience (FE/F1/WEC in particular) highly desirable For more detail, salary and company information, use the apply link.
