Fantastic long-term career prospects with a multi-award-winning dealer group operating for over 50+ years.Our client, a franchise-approved commercial vehicle dealer group with multiple sites nationwide, is looking to hire a Service Team Leader for their busy Gloucester dealership. Reporting to the Service Manager and working as part of a friendly team, as a Service Team Leader your key duties shall include:To receive customers and their vehicles in a friendly and professional manner, discuss and confirm their requirements and take responsibility for the vehicle during its time at our client's business.To work with the workshop team to achieve the highest possible levels of performance.Additional supervision and oversight for a small team of other Service Advisors.Keeping customers informed of the status of their vehicle, giving comprehensive technical and commercial advice on the extent of work to be done and providing a cost estimate for repair work.Inform customers and potential customers about accessories and subsequent fitting of optional extras, promoting any accessory campaigns.Ensure all customer and vehicle data is correctly captured and loaded to the Dealer Management System (full training will be given) and updated as required.Ensure that repair orders are raised and processed according to the established guidelines and that work is completed to schedule and required standards.To ensure that invoicing is accurate and completed on time.To take responsibility for subcontracted repairs and ensure the work has been completed.Ensure that proper use is made of technical information and that it is understood how to use the manufacturer's systems.Ensure all relevant warranty documentation and parts are identified and kept for the warranty team.The successful candidate would ideally be able to deliver the very highest level of customer service through strong communication skills resulting in total customer satisfaction. Strong organisational skills along with IT literacy (any experience with Kerridge/Keyloop preferable) would be of high priority. Recent or current experience as a Vehicle Service Advisor or a similar role within the automotive industry would be essential for our client and this is a fantastic chance for someone to take the next step in their career into a more senior role. A UK driving licence with minimal points is however essential. Liaising with the vehicle manufacturer to authorise warranty repairs and general knowledge of warranty procedures or commercial vehicles would be highly advantageous but is not essential.
