Vehicle Technician/Mechanic

to join our busy workshop team. As a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic, you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, and repairing motor vehicles to the high standards of the Renault, Dacia, and SEAT brands. Previous main dealer experience is desirable. SLM Group supports our employees in developing their knowledge through training opportunities such as brand accreditation, EV/hybrid, diagnostics, and MOT tester qualifications, enabling our team to develop their skills and progress their careers. We are currently looking for multiple Vehicle Technicians who are keen to develop their skills. There is potential for flexible working hours for the right person, with working days to be agreed upon with the successful candidate. Discounted aftersales, service, repairs, and parts. Company pension scheme. Key job areas of the Vehicle Technician role: Carry out servicing and maintenance of vehicles. Vehicle maintenance such as oil and filter changes. Complete job cards and write-ups on franchise platforms. Complete vehicle health checks (VHCs). Work as a full member of the dealership team. What we’re looking for in a Vehicle Technician: NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Repair or equivalent. Previous main dealer experience. Ability to complete motor vehicle repairs and routine maintenance. Willingness to work effectively within a team and ensure industry-leading customer service. Accuracy in using our online VHC Video System. Strong communication skills to communicate effectively with colleagues. Flexible ‘can do’ attitude. Ability to use own initiative and work under minimum supervision. Full UK driving licence.
