The role is across Pilgrim and Lincoln, where we deliver clinics. The successful candidate will teach ward staff care and maintenance of the lines and also be the first port of call for any concerns from the wards. They need to have good communication skills and be able to drive.

Main duties of the job Are you up for a new exciting challenge? Then this job is for you. It is a multifaceted role, including developing and progressing an already established central vascular access facilities which exists at Pilgrim Hospital and expanding it to include Lincoln County. This will include learning to insert Peripherally Inserted Central Catheter and other vascular access lines, along with developing your own teaching packages. An exciting opportunity for a healthcare professional to develop a service further. This role will introduce the candidate to new clinical challenges along with an exciting role that can have a direct effect on improving vascular line care within the trust.
About us The base for this role will be Pilgrim Hospital as that is where the vascular unit is based. The team consists of one venous access nurse and two healthcare support workers. The extended vascular team - to whom this job reports - includes a Nurse Consultant and Advanced Clinical Practitioners, along with three advanced clinical practitioners to support your training.
Job description Job responsibilities This is an exciting opportunity in which the successful candidate will be taught to insert midlines and peripherally inserted catheters (PICC) lines. These lines are utilized for a variety of patients within ULTH. We run clinics across Pilgrim and Lincoln throughout the week. We also go to Grantham Hospital as and when they require lines or assistance with teaching staff. The successful candidate will need to manage their own workload, managing the patients they have on the clinic that day, along with checking for any urgent referrals that come through via email. It is an exciting and rewarding job. The successful candidate will be able to help mold the service to the requirements of the Trust.
