MPA are pleased to be recruiting 3 Verification Officers for a client based in Belfast City Centre. The successful candidates will be highly motivated, methodical, and organised individuals, committed to maintaining the highest standards of accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality. You will play an integral role in verifying patients’ claims for entitlement to access healthcare in Northern Ireland. Location:

37.5 hours per week (Monday - Friday) Salary:
£11.67 per hour
Role Responsibilities:
Action all aspects of the entitlement verification process, including issuing initial query letters to patients. Enter details of all correspondence and documentation received from patients into the case management system. Open post and input information into the case management system. Assess entitlement based on the information provided by patients. Issue reminder letters, entitled/not entitled letters, and other necessary correspondence to patients. Update the BSO patient registration system with entitlement information where applicable. Verify the accuracy of all outputs from the Case Management System, including letters to patients. Respond to patient queries via phone or in person. Participate in daily post-opening procedures, in line with policies and procedures. Liaise with other government agencies to ensure independent verification processes are carried out. Undertake initial assessments of patient entitlement. Provide detailed responses to patient or representative inquiries regarding entitlement, either in person or by phone. Qualifications & Experience:
Essential: 5 GCSEs (A-C) or equivalent, including Maths and English Language, or a higher educational standard, along with 1 year’s administrative experience (including use of computer systems). OR 18 months’ administrative experience (including use of computer systems). Excellent keyboard skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to meet deadlines and ensure verification tasks are completed within required timescales. Strong communication skills, both orally and in writing. Experience in handling sensitive and confidential material. Desirable: Experience using similar processing systems. Knowledge of entitlement to healthcare access in Northern Ireland. How to Apply
