Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Assisting in the preparation and recovery of animals undergoing surgery. Monitoring and maintaining anaesthesia during procedures. Taking and developing radiographs. Providing nursing care to hospitalised animals, ensuring their comfort and safety. Performing routine clinical procedures such as blood tests, vaccinations, and wound care. Educating pet owners on animal care, including nutrition, behaviour, and preventative healthcare. Assisting with consultations, both pre and post-operative, and offer advice to clients. Managing patient records, ensuring accurate and timely data entry. Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment.
Requirements: RCVS registered Veterinary Nurse (or equivalent qualification). Proven experience working as a Veterinary Nurse in a clinical setting. Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships with both clients and colleagues. Excellent organisational and time management skills. Compassionate, with a genuine interest in animal welfare. Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team. Previous experience in surgical and emergency care is desirable but not essential. Enhanced DBS dated within the last 12 months. On the update service?
