Here at Lawrence Veterinary Centre, we’re on the lookout for a Veterinary Surgeon to join our established team on a permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established team. If you are looking to specialise, we can provide that opportunity, whether you would like to study for a certificate or offer specialist services or treatments. We have varied surgical and medical caseloads where you will have clinical freedom to follow your own cases with regular opportunities for operating. We're also keen to offer a relocation allowance of up to £5000 for candidates that require it.

Rota patterns that work for you Our people are at the heart of everything that we do, that’s why we know that work-life balance is vital in supporting our people to be their best selves. We’re happy to offer flexibility to both part & full time applications. A typical full time role would involve working an average of 40 hours per week over 4 or 5 days with some evening work until 7pm and including Saturday mornings currently 2 in 9 working from 9.00am - 1pm. No out of hours or on call required.

A bit about us We are a well-established practice on the Nottingham, Derbyshire border. The practice has recently undergone major refurbishment and expansion project, and we now have a dedicated cat only clinic that runs alongside our main surgery. The practice is fully equipped with the latest veterinary equipment, including iM3 dental machines and dental radiography, digital radiology, and IDEXX biochemistry and haematology equipment, Ultrasound, multiparameter monitors throughout both the main surgery and cat clinic and we are committed to ongoing investment in our facilities. We have certificate holders in Cardiology, Feline Medicine and also have a visiting peripatetic soft tissue & orthopaedic surgeon. Our team currently consists of 11 Experienced vets, 11 Registered Veterinary Nurses and a team of 14 dedicated receptionists and support staff. We have a highly experienced team of RVNs and receptionists offering a range of services that support the vet team to deliver an exceptional level of patient and client care throughout the practice.

Our well-established practice has been part of the community for over 100 years, gaining an excellent reputation. We are based in an excellent location, situated close to transport links to local airports, trains and motorway network.
